001 - The foundation is live

The core of a git platform is live on our beta environment: create repositories, push and pull over standard HTTPS. This is the first update - here is where the project stands: the done, the in-progress, and the not-yet.

What exists today

Repositories

Create a repository and explore it from any device: browse files, read commits and their diffs, compare branches, inspect tags, view blame. Branches and tags can be created and deleted right from the web interface.

Git over HTTPS

Push and pull the way you always have: HTTPS with Personal Access Tokens. Standard git.

Security before features

The git backend is hardened in depth. We work to create the online vault that stores your code safely.

Progress in brief

Where we stand

git.eu is in beta - not production-ready yet. Today that means: the core works and is tested, but the platform is not stable enough yet to host production data.

A pre-production server that you can use daily to replace your current solution is planned for the end of August.
