Git.eu is currently in closed beta. This page explains what the beta covers, who we're looking for, and what you get in return.

What's in scope

The beta focuses on the Git.eu VCS - our core version control system, self-hosted on European infrastructure, outside US Cloud Act and FISA jurisdiction.

Who we're looking for

Join us if you:

Use git for any project - from a personal side project to an enterprise setup
Care about digital sovereignty, data residency, or simply want an alternative to US-hosted platforms
Want to contribute to the creation of a European solution

We're especially interested in organizations currently using a git platform and evaluating alternatives.

What we expect from beta testers

Beta access is not passive. Here's what good participation looks like:

Test real workflows - migrate an actual repo or project, don't just poke around
Report issues concretely - what you did, what you expected, what happened
Share feature requests - if something is missing or broken, tell us

We're not looking for cheerleading. Honest friction reports are more valuable.

How to join

Fill in the beta access form. We review applications manually and get back to you within a few business days.

We'll ask for your name, your organization, and what you're looking for.
